Chart notes
SPURIOUS stalked the early pace setter three wide, contested the lead at the top of the stretch for a brief moment before driving clear. PARTY ON RUFUS assumed early command, faced outside pressure from SPURIOUS rounding the turn, gave way in the upper stretch and flattened out along his inside lead. BOLD STATEMENT shadowed the early pace setter, dropped back in the turn and repositioned into the five path at the top of the stretch, got up for the show award. TYRUS settled off the pace, made no bid. UNCLE ZEB settled off the pace, angled towards the inside in the upper stretch but came up empty. GOOD NIGHT AMERICA showed no early kick, trailed distantly, was outran.
