Chart notes
RISK FACTOR broke outwardly into another rival, quickly gained along the inside before shifting into a stalking position three wide before the turn, took charge at the top of the lane and drew clear in hand. FEDERAL EXCHANGE settled back to trail shortly after the start, took to the outside of the stretch and responded well to put a head up for the place honors. BATTLE WARRIOR was bumped by inner foe at the start but still emerged on top under heavy pressure from TWELVE NELSON, gave way briefly to that foe at the top of the turn before shaking that foe off at the quarter, met a bid from RISK FACTOR at the top of the lane, gave way to that rival and flattened out into third. BANJO contested the early lead between runners but got squeezed back shortly after the start, tracked the pace four wide, was unable to close in the stretch. TWELVE NELSON applied heavy pressure to the early pace setter on the inside, led briefly at the top of the turn before relinquishing command back to the initial pace setter, retreated after the quarter.
