Chart notes
LIGHTNING SPEED chased the pace into the far turn, inherited lead before the five sixteenths pole, shook clear in upper stretch, dug in gamely under left handed urging through the late stages and lasted. ROLLIN IN SPIDERS allowed to settle, rallied determinedly two wide but couldn't get passed the winner. BUKELE slow early, found his best stride late four then three wide. PURE GRINDING failed to menace. HAPPYCASTLE slow early, passed tiring rivals in the three path. ROLLIN FOR REAL with the second flight, offered a mild bid three wide on the far turn then came up empty. JOE BIRDEAUX was restless in the gate, saved ground, checked behind the tiring pacesetter on the far turn and lost momentum. LAST CRAFTY also restless in the gate, was no factor. EVAN THE GREAT sprinted to a large lead on the clubhouse turn, set the pace into the far bend, stopped abruptly and was eased to the wire.
