Chart notes
PAYNE unhurried in the early going, continued well back off the lead group just off the inside, angled out to be three wide when beginning to advance late in the turn, engaged the leaders from the outside nearing the furlong marker and quickly drew clear to win going away while under his own courage to win ridden out. LAMBO underwent a shoe repair in the paddock, broke in good order, prompted the issue up front in the three path out of the chute and up the backstretch, dueled into the stretch, between foes and inside the winner a furlong out, proved no match in the run to the wire while prevailing for the place. MAZING MARK in the second flight outside, came four wide and outside the winner into the lane, finished up mildly while widest in the drive to be along for the show, not a threat to the top pair. PINEAPPLE WILLY pressed the pace while between rivals up the backstretch, fell back turning into the stretch, dropped to the inside, had little left for the run to the wire. SWEET FANTASY narrowly set the pace along the inside for five furlongs, faltered when headed by the winner in upper stretch. TWO DOLLARS bobbled slightly at the start to be away slowly, moved outside, trailed throughout in failing to muster a rally.
