Chart notes
MISTER OMAHA took command into the first turn, set a well rated, well measured pace to the top of the stretch, quickly drew clear when called upon and was never threatened. TREVAGGIO prompted the pace for three-quarters to be well place turning for home, could not match strides with the winner in the lane and ran-on willingly to hold the palce. BENANDONNER broke slow giving the field a length away from the gate, moved up to a tracking position into the first turn and failed to gain on the top pair while finishing wellenough to be along for the show. ILLUSTRATOR trailed most of the way and was never a threat. CARLEA'S DREAM stalked the leaders through teh far turn and weakened coming home failing to mount a clsoing kick.
