CHECK THE FACTS saved ground setting the pace, responded when headed by CLEVLAND POWER nearing the quarter pole, shook that one off entering the stretch and quickly drew clear. CLEVELAND POWER prompted CHECK THE FACTS racing two-wide, moved up to gain a slight lead from that one nearing the quarter pole but was unable to match strides with him during the drive and held well during the drive. JIM'S RIVER RUNNER was reserved off the pace, came three-wide into the stretch but lacked the needed late response.
