Chart notes
MAGICAL WAYS bumped with an inner foe at the start, trailed in the two path, was roused from the four path midway around the far turn, ranged up to take aim in the five path at the top of the lane, rallied to lead passing the eighth pole, and kicked clear. EL DE LARRY rated in the three path, ranged up in the five path early around the far turn, bid in the three path passing the quarter, ran on to lead at the top of the stretch, got caught by the winner passing the furlong grounds, but was second best. BAYTOWN PARFAIT vied for the lead in the two path, held command under coaxing midway around the far turn, but lost the le4ad at the top of the lane, then flattened in the final furlong to show. FROSTY THE GIANT stalked in the two path, was roused between foes passing the quarter, floated out to the seven path in upper stretch, then faded. ESCAPE KEY rated in the two path, improved while waiting along the rail around the far turn, came under a ride while angling out to the five path at the top of the lane, but weakened. FINAL DRAMA bumped with an outer foe at the start, off pace inside, no closing bid. J J'S RANGER set the pace inside but gave way around the far turn, eased down the lane.
