MISSION BEACH was forwardly placed up the backstretch, matched strides with a duo around the turn, battled on gamely between foes down the lane, fought hard and got a head up on the wire. SINNER'S SIN raced up close in the opening quarter, vied three deep around the turn, continued to battle for command down the lane, dug in gamely under firm handling and got outnodded. GOLDEN LUNA set a pressured pace up the backstretch, vied inside a duo around the turn, continued to match strides for the lead into the lane, put in a good effort but ultimately yielded late. J. P. RACE raced inside in aim for the early lead, weakened off the top flight late on the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, launched a three wide rebid at the head of the lane and lacked the needed response for serious impact.
