Chart notes
J P HELLISH set the pace, dueled on the far turn, vied through the stretch and fought gamely for the win. MANNIX (IRE) stalked the early leader, forced the pace on the far turn and had the lead from the three path in mid stretch but was outgunned. STAR SCHOLAR was in touch, hustled along on the far turn and from the six path at the top of the stretch finished well. GRAN SPIRITED tracked the early leaders and had a good position on the far turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch needed more. SCAT FACTOR was in range and roused from the inside on the far turn but had no response. FAST AND READY was well back and had a mild gain on the far turn but from the five path at the top of the stretch was no threat. MISTER MESEEKS was off the pace and raced evenly on the far turn but from the three path at the top of the stretch had no impact. WET AND WILD was in mid pack and saved ground on the far turn but was eased to the wire. A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON WET AND WILD AGAINST STAR SCHOLAR FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE FIRST TURN WAS NOT ALLOWED. A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON MINNIX (IRE) FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED.
