Chart notes
COLLECTION DAY saved ground into a close up position, made a three wide bid rounding the far turn, contested the lead between opponents at the eighth pole, rubbed shoulders with both, got the bob. MARTINI MARTIN stalked the pace three wide through the first turn, gave chase up the backstretch, launched a four wide bid rounding the far turn to contest the lead at the eighth pole, battled two other runners shoulder to shoulder but lost the bob. STRIKING SPARKS claimed a pressured pace along the inside, met a couple bids in the stretch, battled shoulder to shoulder with those rivals until giving way in the final sixteenth. TAKE THE PLEDGE was off slowly, trailed for the first half, gained position in the far turn, closed along the inside of the stretch but lacked a final bid. BROADCASTER pressed the early pace setter in the two path, flattened out in the stretch. ASCENDANCE settled off the pace, never threatened. ENGLISH PAINTER was between runners in the middle of the pace for the firs turn, settled off the pace, lacked a response. HOME INVASION was rated on the inside, retreated in the far turn, eased across.
