Chart notes
DINNER AT EIGHT laid up close in the three path, was coaxed along in the two path around the turn, bid in the three path at the top of the lane, and kicked away. COUSIN JOE tracked inside, was ridden around the turn, and ran on in the two path down the stretch to clearly be second best. HIPPY GILMORE was reluctant to load, stalked in the two path, was coaxed from the three path midway around the turn, faded in the four path down the lane, but edged out show. BLACK RIVER got fractious in the gate, chased in the two path, was driven around the turn, but made no final bid. NOT LIKE US set the pace in the two path, waited along the inside around the turn, came under pressure turning into the stretch, but yielded in the final furlong. NIGEL had a slow start and always trailed.
