CLEARLY MAJESTIC back off the pace in the second group, lodged a good move three wide late in the turn to reach a forward position with a quarter to run, drifted in when engaging the leader past the furlong marker, briefly dueled with that one then kicked clear the final sixteenth. DADDY'S CODE broke forwardly from the outside, allowed the dueling leaders to go out of the chute, stalked that pair into the turn, took over from the outside turning for home, clear in upper stretch, brushed by the winner past the furlong marker then was outkicked by that one the final sixteenth, clearly second best. DOOLGAROUX broke back, void of any early foot while working way to the inside far turn, continued to save ground, cut the corner into the lane, rallied up the rail to be in time for the show. CUT DAY broke well, dueled up front, slightly larger advantage into the turn, briefly raced on equal terms with the winner inside that one midway on the bend then could not keep up, continued to gradually weaken, caught late for the show while off the inside. HUDSON'S DAY back off the early pace and the inside, fanned six wide out of the turn, improved position through upper stretch then flattened out a bit the final furlong. EASY EDDIE A broke back, lacked sped inside, steered out a bit late in the turn, improved position through the lane with some modest energy without posing a serious threat. JOSAN went one paced throughout in lacking a closing kick. LOUISIANA LUCA in the second group well out in the strip, five wide turning for home, came up empty for the stretch run. CHIEF KIMOSABI lacked speed outside, four to five wide through the turn, also lacked a closing response. TAP THE TEQUILA bumped and was away slowly, sluggish for a half, never a threat while passing a couple of tiring rivals. GIVE ME A TRY broke in and bumped TAP THE TEQUILA, was used to move up into a spot in the second flight, gave way through the stretch. JOSH G dueled up front outside, first to blink and stopped from between horses early in the turn, finished well back. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE TRAINER OF THE RUNNER UP AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
