Chart notes
PURPLE HEART behind the lead pack while off the inside up the backstretch, moved closer in the four path late in the turn, engaged the leaders from the outside when straightened for home, long, spirted drive to the wire, narrowly best under brisk handling. PRETTY FAST with the early pace three wide, continued vie through the turn, vied between horses and inside the winner nearing the furlong grounds, brushed when in a bit tight, dug in and fought to the end to just miss in game fashion. BRITERDAYZAHEAD broke well, set or forced the pace four a half between foes, battled with the top two while closest to the inside, drifted out to brush with the runner up in deep stretch, proved stubborn to the end to also narrowly miss. BARON OF THE NILE lacked speed for a half, steered out widest for the drive, displayed some modest interest out in the strip while not a threat to the top three. STRING THEORY away well, vied up front closest to the inside for a half, first to blink entering the stretch. GUANARE failed to menace in remaining always back.
