Chart notes
GRACE IS FREE sped to the lead soon after the start and held a slim lead around the first turn, set the pace under some pressure but remained nicely relaxed on top, widened in hand late on the far turn, saved ground turning for home, came under a ride, pulled away with ease, tapped a couple times in the final furlong and finished clearly best. GO TO GIRL was allowed to settle around the first turn the rated off the top trio, took closer order near the inside leaving the three eighths pole then angled out, drifted out four wide at the head of the lane, ran on under steady encouragement and held place. TREMONT TAMMY was forwardly placed around the first turn, stalked up the backstretch, hustled along three wide late on the far turn, sustained bid into the lane and secured a share. SONG OF SONGS broke out at the start, was unhurried and raced in the back, came under a ride two wide at the head of the lane and improved position without threatening. FORBIDDEN LOVER prompted the pace up the backstretch, came up empty late on the far turn and faded. MORE CARATS raced off the early pace, had no response when called upon and steadily retreated.
