Chart notes
JACKMAN led the way on the inside around the first turn and up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the two path and kicked clear in the lane, holding that margin to the wire. DUAL MONARCHY saved ground early, chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, challenged from the rail headed into the second bend, could not go with the winner in upper stretch, switched to the outside and came on again late to make up ground on the winner near the wire. FACE VALUE raced off the pace on the outside around the first turn and up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the two path and improved position mildly in the lane while proving to be no match for the winner. FORT WARREN saved ground around the first bend, trailed the field up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the far turn and made no bid. WORDS OF WISDOM raced in the two path early, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, dropped back while saving in the three path around the far turn and tired further in the lane.
