Chart notes
WATSON took control soon after the start, set the pace toward the inside, continued to show the way into the lane, responded when confronted by a pair of rivals when straightened for home, drifted out with a furlong to run despite right handed pressure bothering MITTS and forcing that one to alter course to the inside, then held that same rival safe in the run to the wire. MITTS forwardly placed in the run into the turn three wide, maintained contact with the leader through the bend, advanced and challenged between horses in upper stretch, was put in tight when WATSON drifted out with a furlong remaining, altered course to the inside but was unable to get back to that rival in the late going. GODFIDENCE off a step slow, back off the first flight early, made a four wide move into a forward position exiting the turn, stalled a bit after challenging in midstretch after being bothered slightly by a drifting WATSON and continued evenly to the finish. RIYADH WAY broke forwardly toward the inside, closest to the leader into the turn, fell back midway on the bend, steered out four wide into the stretch, no threat to the top three through the lane. EH HAN fell back to trail after the start, saved ground through the turn, no threat through the lane. COWBOY SKINS back off the pace three wide, one paced into the lane when bothered slightly when RIYADH WAY angled out, tired to trail home. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN THROUGH MIDSTRETCH AND A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF MITTS AGAINST WATSON FOR INTERFERENCE, THE LATTER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND.
