Chart notes
ATTESTATION tracked the early leaders, moved up on the turn and with the lead from the six path at the top of the stretch drew clear. A LA CARTE settled off the early leaders, was a factor on the turn and from the seven path at the top of the stretch was second best. GALVASTON showed speed from the inside and had a slim lead on the turn but from the three path at the top of the stretch was outfinished. CANTUCCI stalked the early leader and forced the pace on the turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch needed more. COMMANDER JOE was in touch and roused from between foes on the turn but from the five path at the top of the stretch had no late kick. HARDWARE GAP was off the pace and showed little in a dull effort. A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON COMMANDER JOE AGAINST GALVASTON FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED. A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON CANTUCCI AGAINST GALVASTON RESULTED IN GALVASTON BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FOURTH.
