Chart notes
MELODY QUEEN broke alertly, quickly got clear, extended that advantage through the turn, coasted home through the lane under steady encouragement. SHELBY COUPE well back off the pace while out in the strip, four wide through the turn and into the lane, steady rally to be in time for the second spot while slowly closing the gap on the winner. CLARE'S SHINES behind the winner along the inside early, moved out late in the turn to be three for the drive, set down, was unable to match strides with the runner up while inside that one late, up final jump to gain the nod for the show. OLYMPIC DREAMER second flight early outside, chased the winner in the three path through the turn and into the lane, remained closest to that one with a furlong to run, faltered in the late going to lose a couple of positions. MOONSHINE HONEY hesitated then broke out, raced far back early as a result, came five wide out of the turn, displayed a modest amount of late interest. MUMBET saved ground to no avail well off the pace, trailed home.
