Chart notes
MONEY TRAIL away in good order, dueled in the two path past the wire the first time, relinquished the lead in allowing the leader to clear from the outside onto the backstretch, chased that one alongside GALLANT RUNNER the middle half mile, advanced and challenged turning for home, put a head in front soon after, clear a furlong out then held the runner up safe late under steady handling. SOVEREIGN GOLD settled off the pace and the and, began to creep forward in the three path late in the final turn, continued that steady advance to take over the second position in midstretch and ran on to continue to close the gap on the winner. GOOD PAYNTER five wide into the first turn, advanced and took over four wide onto the backstretch, got clear, continued to show the way into and through the second bend in the two path, offered brief resistance to the winner when that one came calling entering the stretch then began to weaken. BROWN DIAMOND evenly paced along the inside for six furlongs, steered out to be three wide midway on the final turn, improved position a bit in the drive with outposing a serious threat. KNOWS EVERYTHING four wide into the first turn, fell back to trail, moved inside to save some ground through the final bend, moved back out into the three path and picked off a couple of tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. GALLANT RUNNER with the winner early along the rail, continued to race with that one in the second flight backstretch and into the far turn, failed to keep up through that bend and gave way in the drive. JUST BRILLIANT settled in mid pack while just off the inside, continued one paced in the two path inside the runner up far turn, tired through the stretch.
