Chart notes
BOURBON STREET BOY was away alertly to be soon clear on the inside to set the pace, cut the corner leaving the turn and shook clear again by the three sixteenths and then dug in gamely in the furlong grounds to hold on late to prevail. ROYAL BRO broke a bit outwardly and then settled and moved in to be two wide on the turn, moved out to be four wide and was blocked leaving the turn and steadied by the quarter pole, angled in for racing room by the three sixteenths and then was slowly gaining between rivals in the final sixteenth but could not get by the winner. BOTE tracked the pace and was three wide on the turn, came four wide off the turn and by the quarter pole, then ran on in the final furlong to be slowly gaining but needed more. LAST MOON was bumped soundly at the break, then recovered and stalked the winner two wide and made a two to three wide bid nearing the quarter pole, then was between rivals by the three sixteenths and then weakened in the final furlong. LAST RETURN stumbled and broke in bumping a foe while the rider almost fell off at the start, then was far back in the rear, three wide by the quarter pole and was not a factor.
