Chart notes
AMERICAN POPE came in at the start bumping a rival lightly but was away quickly, pressed the pace from just outside, contended between foes late on the turn, dueled outside in the stretch putting a short head in front in upper stretch then kept on under urging and held that rival. TITAN READY was quick to take a narrow lead, set a pressured pace inside, was headed in upper stretch, fought on valiantly dueling inside but was denied. UNCLE DODO broke a step slowly and was bumped soon after, shifted in then out heading up the backstretch, raced off the inside in the three to four path on the turn coming out five to six wide for the drive, was gaining fast but too late. LORD YORKTON stalked the leading pair from outside, advanced from the three-eighths drawing nearly even three wide in a brief bid past the five-sixteenths, flattened out in the stretch. WAR MARSHALL was urged from the start, raced outside mostly four to five wide, was never near enough to threaten. SARATOGA GOLD broke a step slowly then was forced into a rival and steadied slightly soon after, raced at the back mostly two to three wide, was never near enough to threaten. LOST IN THE FIGHT was lightly bumped at the start, raced at the back inside, came out seven wide, was not a factor. PATRIOTWAVE came in after the start, was encouraged along chasing mid-pack off the rail, dropped back and faded.
