Chart notes
GOVENOR HANK was quite reluctant to load the starting gate, brushed with outer foe at the start, shadowed the early pace setter in the two path, contested the lead at the of the lane and inched away in the deep stretch. SHORTSTOP opted to be the early trailer, gained along the inside of the turn, continued to closed down the lane in the two path but came up short. NATIONS DREAM brushed with inner foe at the start, settled off the pace, presented a willing effort through traffic in the stretch to earn the show award. CUTLASS KING led for a few strides shortly after the start before finding a stalking position three wide, entered the stretch in the five path, lacked a closing bid. STEVE was quick to claim the early lead, faced a couple challengers entering the stretch and grudgingly gave way in the final yards. RED SPEEDO broke on top and was allowed to settle off the pace, found best stride late but was unable to make any improvements. SKYLANE settled off the pace four wide, trailed after the first quarter.
