Chart notes
PERSISTEN tracked the leaders from three wide to the far turn to be well placed, angled to the clear turning for home and closed well to prevail late in the drive. MACKENZIE'S NOVVA dueled on the pace exchanging the lead several times for three-quarters of a mile, shook off the presser in upper stretch, battled with the winner in the final eighth digging in gamely and was outfinished in deep stretch. MR. COLOSSAL reserved at the back while racing in the trailing duo, saved ground throughout, cut the corner turning for home and put in a mild bid to take the show. EL CHISPAZO pressed the early pace, took a short lead down the backside, continued to duel through the far turn and weakened in the stretch. REVOLUTIONNAIRE (FR) stalked the pace to be prominent of the far turn three wide and failed to respond when called upon fading from contention. ST. EMILION was restless in the gate, missed the break to trail and was never a factor from there.
