GOSPEL REGINA dueled early along the inside, got clear early in the first turn, continued to hold a daylight advantage while under a light hold, maintained that advantage past the wire the first time and through the second turn, extended that advantage through the final turn and won as she pleased under token pressure through the lane, ridden out at the end. SURE THING SAMURAI back off the issue early outside, moved a bit closer three wide down the stretch the first time, called on for run with three furlongs remaining but proved no match for the winner, clearly second best. IRISH WRIT in the second flight early along the inside, continued to save ground through the second turn when with the second group, fell back off the top two with a quarter to run and had little for the stretch drive. ZAYLA fell back to trail soon after the start, continued devoid of any early foot, fell further back the middle half and was never a threat while closing the gap on the top three with some tepid late interest. DAILY GIN dueled early outside the winner, fell back to race in the second flight the middle part, stopped early on the backstretch for the second time, walked in far back. This race was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
