Chart notes
NATIONAL ECLIPSE stalked from the two path, progressed on the clear leader whlie moving out to the four path entering the lane, closed in while hanging on his left lead in upper stretch, reeled in the leader while changing over at the furlong grounds then held sway from an outer pursuer late. HOODLUM laid off of the pace three wide, swung out to the five path while building momentum into the lane, rallied to take aim on the new leader in the final furlong but was kept at bay. SALTWATER COWBOY sped clear early on, widened his margin down the backstretch, but got caught by an outer bidder in midstretch, tired then lasted for show. NIP N TUCK tracked along the inside, chased around the far turn then failed to menace. CREEK trailed in the four path around the first turn, then along the inside around the far turn and failed to factor. READY TO POUNCE raced off of the pace two wide and between horses while under urging into the backstretch, then weakened.
