Chart notes
ROMEO SPIKES stalked the pace, challenged for the lead entering the stretch, dueled to the sixteenth pole and drew clear under steady urging. GABE'S POSSUM ducked in, bumped and was steadied at the start, raced outside, went eight wide leaving the turn and closed to earn place. SLEWSSONGOFTHENILE came out and bumped at the start, was slow early, angled out at the top of the lane to be widest in the drive and finished well to get up for show. YANKEESTROLGY raced mid pack, rallied between horses on the turn, went seven wide entering the stretch and lacked the needed rally. DIRTY STRAIGHT UP broke out, raced two across to the turn, vied to the sixteenth pole and faltered. STARRY EYED vied inside to the stretch, weakened and faded from contention. ASTHECOLDWINDBLOWS was pinched back at the start to be off slowly, bid inside on the turn, was within range and came up empty. HOOSIER bumped on both sides at the start and trailed the field.
