Chart notes
JOLLY BY GOLLY , patiently handled tracking inside and behind the leaders, took advantage of a rail opening soon into the lane, forged a clear advantage under a drive nearing mid stretch, switched over to his left lead a sixteenth out and continued to widen while kept alert. PUDGE BOY PALACE prompted the pace two to three wide and outside FIGHTERTOWN, moved to the attack while ridden along past the three eighths, struck the top near the quarter pole, was unable to deny the winner's inner charge but continued on with good effort. BRINDANO , brushed at the start, settled off the pace and outside a rival, took closer order mid turn, angled four wide for the drive but lacked a solid finish. FIGHTERTOWN cleared early, set the pace towards the inside, dug in when pressure nearing the five sixteenths, ceded command between runners in upper stretch, steadied soon after and gave way. RAPIDITY broke outward and brushed with a rival, raced forwardly towards the inside and behind a pair of foes, followed the winner along the rail into the stretch but failed to kick on. An objection by the rider of FIGHTERTOWN against PUDGE BOY PALACE alleging interference in the stretch was not allowed.
