Chart notes
AWESOME ROAD tracked just behind the leaders to the far turn, moved to challenge for the lead midway through the far turn, swept past that pair on the turn for home, and drew off under a mild hand ride. BRIGHT SPARK was not asked for speed from the break, settled well back for the first half-mile, started to run on from the far turn, came out three-wide into the stretch and rallied into second despte failing to change leads. HE GOTS TO GO lacked any early foot and tracked far back off the pace, came under a ride heading into the far turn, passed one rival in the stretch but was otherwise never a factor. LISTENTOTHEMUSIC broke well and inherited the lead into the first turn, ceded the front to MOR LANA SPIRIT as the field headed down the backstretch, pressed the pace to the stretch, could not go on with the winner, and weakened off the board in the late stages. MOR LANA SPIRIT took a slight lead coming out of the first turn, had LISTENTOTHEMUSIC always a presence on the inside, gave way readily when challenged by AWESOME ROAD leaving the quarter pole, and offered little in the stretch run.
