Chart notes
COCKTAILS N DREAMS set a pressured pace on the inside and raced in the two path on the turn, floated out three wide leaving the turn and then moved back to the inside and dug in determinedly by the furlong marker and held on to prove best under a stiff drive. DARK DANGER pressed the winner three wide and was floated out five wide leaving the turn and then sent down for the drive and loomed boldly by the sixteenth marker but hung late to miss. BORIS BADENOV tracked the pace along the rail and fell back on the turn and moved out in the lane but weakened.
