Chart notes
BOLD STRENGTH prompted two wide, vied around the turn, gained an advantage entering the lane, drove clear in upper stretch and held sway. ONLY PHIL tracked from midpack along the inside, shifted out to the five path while building momentum in upper stretch, ran on to claim place at the furlong grounds and was second best. SHOW OF FORCE set the pace as the eventual winner applied firm pressure, vied with that one around the turn, got headed entering the lane, proved no match, gave way and lasted for show. TIMING DIFFERENCE trailed along the inside, advanced inside of rivals entering the lane, moved out to the two to three path in midstretch and stayed on mildly to miss show. GAMBLERS TAIL raced off of the pace in the four to five path and failed to menace. ENVISION raced off of the pace in the three path and between horses, chased in the four path into the lane then tired. SHERIFF BART stalked three wide, gave way in the four path around the turn then faded between horses nearing the lane.
