Chart notes
MR. CHIVAS raced well off the pace and just off the rail into the turn, cut the corner upper, steadily angled out found a clear lane five wide nearing the furlong marker, relentless rally up in time under the wire. VIA DEL CORSO quickened stride soon after the start, vied three wide around the turn, shook off inside rival approaching the furlong marker, dug in gamely through the final stages, nailed at the wire. UNCAPTURED PULSE broke sharp, vied inside around the turn, no match for top pair leaving the sixteenth marker, stayed on willingly for the show. DEVILS RED broke a step slow, urged along chased between runners into the lane, remained between through the stretch, had no late punch. SAND MOUNTAIN hit gate at the start, roused on six deep into the lane, had no late response. SOMNUS chased the leaders inside around the turn, off the rail but inside rivals flopped over to the wrong lead, weakened through the final stages. FINDAWAY trailer around the turn, never factored.
