Chart notes
OUTMATCH was allowed to settle in the opening quarter, engaged the top flight five paths wide mid-way around the turn, roused for more in upper stretch, responded willingly, cleared the lead a furlong out then drew off while ridden out. VIRTUE'S REWARD was forwardly placed up the backstretch, vied around the turn, fought back to the furlong marker then failed to be a match for the eventual winner and settled for second best. MACHO FORTY FIVE dueled up the backstretch and into upper stretch then yielded and ran on for a share. STONE MAN tracked the early pace, moved up mid-way around the turn, dueled past the quarter pole then flattened in the lane. STEELY EYE raced off the early pace, hustled along three wide into the lane and improved position without threatening. MC COUGAR dueled up the backstretch and around the turn then tired in the drive. KIND SOUL was not far back in the opening quarter, failed to respond along the inside around the turn and steadily retreated. MIGHTY KOA raced in the back throughout.
