Chart notes
THIRD DEGREE unhurried early to be well off the pace down the backside, closed the gap on the turn, swept up six wide in the lane and wore his rivals down in the final sixteenth. SECRETARY OF WAR reserved off the pace to the far turn, rallied four wide to loom in mid-stretch, took a brief lead inside the eighth pole and was outkicked in the final stages. ROYAL LUCK (CHI) stalked the pace for a half mile, rallied on the turn to be well place turning for home, took the lead in mid-stretch and was outfinished by the late closers. LOUISIANIMAL set the pace under constant pressure from the rail, dueled to midway on the far turn, opened a clear lead at the quarter pole and weakened in the final eighth. CHILL BOSS pressed the pace through the first turn, vied for the lead to the far turn and tired coming up empty on the bend.
