Chart notes
TOUGH TROOPER was asked early and moved up toward the inside to duel out of the chute, alternated up front into the turn, disposed of the other speed late in the bend, continued to hold a daylight advantage midstretch, held the runner up comfortably safe in the waning strides under steady handling. WINDTAPPER WIN off a step slow, raced back early as a result inside, continued to save ground turn when beginning a steady advance, cut the corner into the lane, could not get to the winner late, clearly second best. AWESOME OUTLAW settled off the pace while three wide, continued to stalk the dueling leaders into the turn, lost some ground to the winner and the runner up into the stretch, lodged a bid for the show position and proved determined for that spot while not a serious threat to the top two at the wire. SEARCHIN SAFARI broke alertly from the outside, dueled up front outside the winner, first to blink late in the turn, continued to gradually weaken to be outkicked for the show. BARREL THIEF fell back to trail soon after the start while off the inside, never menaced. This race was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
