Chart notes
TANZANITE LILY patiently tracked the leaders in behind inside, saved ground early on the turn, swung seven wide leaving that bend and was put to urging, drifted in through the stretch, struck the lead past the furlong marker and drove clear. CHARGETHATMOUNTAIN was quick to take the lead, set the pace inside shadowed by outside foes, kicked clear while coming off the rail turning into upper stretch, was collared in mid-stretch and no match but second best. OLIVIA'S MELODY broke a step slowly, lacked early speed bringing up the rear from just off the inside, was under urging by the five-sixteenths, angled eight wide in upper stretch, ran on to gain show honors. CLOSING APPEAL was forwardly-positioned stalking up close from outside runners, went three to four wide on the turn and was under urging past the five-sixteenths, ran on but needed more. PERFECT SPARKLE was bumped after the start, moved forward up close to the leader from between runners, asked to keep up by the quarter pole but failed to rally. WUNHAPPY WABBIT bumped a rival after the start, moved up outside four to five wide on the turn to reach striking distance but flattened out.
