Chart notes
JACK CHARLES (GB) showed the way in the two path, built a clear margin around the turn, widened his advantage entering the lane, then lasted safely while hanging on his left lead. SAINT SHANCE raced off of the pace along the inside, moved out to the three path around the turn, swung six wide into the lane and rallied to belatedly gain on the clear and tired leader late. WAITTILNEXTYEAR broke a step slow, raced at the rear in the three path, rallied while moving to the inside in upper stretch and edged show late. TURN AND RUN came out at the start, chased near the inside, vied for place in the the two path in upper stretch but got outkicked and yielded. MUNICIPAL hopped and was floated out by an inner foe at the start, raced at the rear in the four path the moved up. CHATTERFIELD broke outwardly, stalked from the four path, got outkicked by rivals on either side while chasing in upper stretch and gave way. BIG FUZZ pressed outside of the eventual winner and from the three path early on, but chased that clearing rival into and around the turn then weakened between horses in upper stretch.
