Chart notes
BONS TEMPS ROULE was being pushed on from the break but showed no early speed, was taken in hand on the first turn, settled in mid-pack down the backstretch and into the far turn, responded when asked to go on leaving the three-furlong pole, came out 3-wide for the stretch run, finished up well dueling through the late stages with COOL GUITAR, and was just up in the last jumps. COOL GUITAR stalked the pace two-wide to the far turn, moved to challenge SAME PLAY for the lead near the three-furlong pole, found that rival resilient but gained a narrow advantage by mid-stretch, then battled gamely with BONS TEMPS RULE through the final yards but came up just short. SAME PLAY made the lead on the first turn and was left to dictate the early fractions, maintained a clear advantage into the far turn, then battled back when confronted by COOL GUITAR leaving the three-furlong pole, kept on well in the end but was outfinished in the late stages by that rival and another while saving third. GO GET TRAE tracked behind the pace along the inside, finished willingly, but was not good enough. SINGLE SHOT was last of all through the early stages, started to run on heading into the far turn, finished with interest with a steady gain but lacked a late punch. JACKSON D lacked any early speed and settled on the rail near the rear of the field, advanced into contention late on the backstretch, and was making progress along the rail, then had to steady right at the eighth pole and was unable to recover. WAYSIDE DRIVE was not asked for early speed, settled three-wide near the back, came out six-wide for the stretch run, and improved with a mild belated rally. SKENES CREWS broke well, then was held up just behind the pace three-wide, loomed a threat turnig for home but faltered in the stretch and was unable to threaten. ROBBIESSTORMANGEL settled mid-pack through the first turn, moved up four-wide to be in range of the front going down the backstretch, then was unable to muster much of a late bid. IMMA DEAL came away well and was up near the pace for a half-mile, then began a steady retreat from that point and was uninvolved in the later stages.
