Chart notes
CRUX pressed the early pace, vied for the lead going by the quarter pole, continued to battle outside of I LIVED MY DREAM into the lane, dug in gamely, raced between rivals in final stages and got a nose up on the wire. OMERO rated just off the early pace, steadied and lost a couple of strides when rival lost the rider at the three eighths pole, ranged up closer late on the turn, ran on four then three wide, dug in determinedly, was inching up to the wire and just missed. I LIVED MY DREAM set a pressured pace up the backstretch, vied inside of CRUX late on the turn and into the lane, battled on gamely along the inside then lacked a final kick. WAR BOY tracked the early pace, hustled inside around the turn, sustained a rail bid into the lane, advanced into striking distance a furlong out then yielded late. HAWKEYE STATE raced in range up the backstretch, advanced three wide and raced in aim at the quarter pole then flattened in the lane. KING GEORGE was rank and tugged way up into closer contention, was taken up and settled momentarily before losing the rider near the three eighths pole, ran loose briefly and walked off. STEWARDS POSTED INQUIRY LOOKING INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING KING GEORGE NEAR THE THREE EIGHTHS POLE, AFTER REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
