Chart notes
DIAMOND DASHER saved ground setting the [ace and gradually drew clear. HARBOR OF HOPE prompted DIAMOND DASHER from along the outside, could not stay with that one late but proved to be second best. ZIWHAT was close-up along the inside, checked leaving the half mile pole in tight along the inside, recovered to remain forwardly placed racing along the inside, came three-wide into the stretch and finished well in a good effort. EPIC IN TIME broke out to bump with KRAKEN IUP then was allowed to settle wile saving ground, slipped through entering the stretch and rallied late. KRAKEN UP hopped at the start then was bumped by EPIC IN TIME and BLACK SHIMMMER then worked his way forward from between horses to be prominent nearing the quarter pole and then flattened out during the drive. CAPE ROYAL raced in the middle of the while racing two-wide and weakened. BLACK SHIMMER broke in to bump KRACKEN UP then was allowed to settle racoing tjree-wide and tired. HE'S A MISTER was prominent early racing two-0wide, steadied in tight leaving the half mile pole and gradually gave way thereafter. EL CID raced in the back of the field, came six-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. TOP GUN TIGER was unhurried then rallied five-wide into the stretch and was not a factor. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIEDENT AROUND THE HALF MILE POLE BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH.
