Chart notes
FAIR HOPE broke on top then immediately hooked up with I TIZ DEVINE in a spirited duel to deep stretch, then edged ahead in the final yards. NO BULL PETE well placed behind the dueling pair, responded when set down near the quarter pole, closed in late, and was just up for second. I TIZ DIVINE showed good speed, dueled inside of FAIR HOPE from the outside, battled gamely to deep stretch, then gave way grudgingly in the final yards. ZORRITOS DASH ducked in at the start, but recovered nicely, then got put in a bit tight in the initial stages, raced in mid-pack while under a ride, finished with some interest to gain some ground late, but was not quite doing enough in the late stages. CAPTAIN BLOOD was very slow into stride, was under some coaxing early on to stay in contact, saved ground to the stretch but offered little late under urging. RIDDICK got pinched and shuffled back after the start, chased the dueling leaders in third position to the stretch, then lacked a finish. PRINCE OF MISCHIEF got bumped off-stride by the outside rival at the break, spotted the field a big head start after than and was never involved. TWO STEPS AHEAD broke inward at the start, then became a bit rank in the run to the turn, dropped to the back and chased from far back the rest of the way. THE JOCKEY ON #3 ZORRITOS DASH LOGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST #2 I TIZ DEVINE, ALLEGING INTEREFERENCE AFTER THE START. AFTER A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THE OBJECTION, AND THE ORIGINAL RESULTS WERE MADE OFFICIAL.
