Chart notes
ROTTERDAM was rated kindly between rivals throughout two to three wide,came four wide off the turn to make a bid and went clear by the sixteenth marker and then held off the fast closing PHILLIP MY DEAR late to prove best under a drive. PHILIP MY DEAR guided to the inside immediately to save ground along the rail, shuffled back and was boxed on the far turn nearing the quarter pole, angled out in the lane and closed gap fast late. GIVE IT A WHIRL set the pace while unchallenged and was well handled throughout was still clear by the furlong marker but was caught and held the show award late. MR PERCY (IRE) stalked the pace and saved ground on the inside, made a two wide bid leaving the turn and was gaining inside the furlong grounds but had to check by the sixteenth marker and lost all chance missing the show award. FLEETFOOT (IRE) tracked the pace in between rivals while keen and a bit rank the first half a mile, then moved out to be three wide on the third turn and made a bid leaving the turn but was shut off by the furlong marker and had to take up losing all chance. ABAAN was between rivals on the first turn, then dropped to the inside on the second turn, moved out down the backside on the second circuit, moved out four wide to make a four to three wide move on the far turn but flattened out. BEE WELL was reserved three wide early, bumped and forced out five wide entering the far turn, moved back in to be four wide by the quarter pole but had no rally. BRITISH ROYALTY was rated along the outside early three wide, advanced to track the pace three wide and made a two wide bid by the final turn but weakened in the lane. LOOK NORTH was settled back and trailed on the inside but lacked a rally. FINAL TIME WAS 3:35.34
