Chart notes

BIG CURL rated patiently just off the pace early, moved four wide leaving the backstretch, accelerated on the far turn, took command decisively, and pulled clear to win convincingly. CAIRO COWBOY sat off the early pace while three wide and under a snug hold, overtook the lead leaving the backstretch, was overtaken, then was kept under handling and held on for second. RIDE AT DAWN trailed the field early, advanced along the rail but lacked room in the far turn, waited inside, then angled out into the lane, but was unable to improve position in the stretch. GENIE'S RIDE quickly went to the front, was overtaken leaving the backstretch, and was roused to no avail in the stretch. KNOTENLOSERIN fanned four wide into the opening turn, and came up empty in the drive. ALBERTA ICE was wide through the backstretch, and was outrun.
