GURNEY HALLECK stalked the leader two wide down the backside, sent to the attack nearing the furlong marker, worked hard to gain an advantage on stubborn leader in upper stretch, running on the wrong lead wore inside foe down leaving the sixteenth marker, held sway driving. SCREAMINVENGEANCE broke sharp, set a swift pace along the rail into the far turn, fought on hard leaving the furlong marker, yielded nearing the sixteenth marker, grudgingly settled for the place award. GRANDPA JOE saved ground well off the pace, swung out six wide into the lane, closed in willingly in time for the show money. ONE CANDY CASTLE chased the top duo down the back stretch, inside rivals through the lane, evened out through the final sixteenth. CANDY MAN CAN pressed between runners mid-pack down the backside, roused on four deep into the lane, had no late punch. FIBER PROOF urged along inside mid-pack into the far turn, chased inside from the quarter pole, came up empty through the stretch. ED'S PROPHECY raced off the pace five wide into the far turn, put to task off the rail around the far turn, had no late response. BOLD ROCK pressed four wide mid-pack into the far turn, under pressure leaving the quarter pole, weakened through the stretch. PAINT THE ALLEY trailed throughout.
