Chart notes
DIG BABY DIG saved ground early, commenced a bid on the turn, was angled three wide approaching the eighth pole to take aim, rallied strongly under pressure and was up in time. RED FLAT PUMPS worked her way to the front in the initial quarter mile, was challenged on the turn, dueled into the stretch, led late but was caught. PIRULITA ducked out at the start hamepering TRAIN STATION, forced the pace, dueled inside into the stretch and was worn down in the late going. LASKO LADY chased while four wide, continued four wide into the stretch and finished evenly. BARBIES FURY off a step slowly, settled while three wide, lodged a brief bid on the turn, entered the stretch five wide and came up empty. TRAIN STATION slammed at the start by the errant PIRULITA, checked as a result, was reserved while four wide and lacked a bid. NEWS TOO SERIOUS sprinted clear early, was brushed aside before going a quarter mile and faded. FOLLOWING THE RACE, THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START. AFTER REVIEWING VIDEOTAPED REPLAYS, THEY DETERMINED PIRULITA INTERFERED WITH TRAIN STATION SOON AFTER THE START. AS A RESULT, PIRULITA WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM THIRD AND PLACED SIXTH.
