Chart notes
STARLIT SOFI tracked the pace along the inside, loomed three wide at the quarter pole, cleared command leaving the top of the lane and finished going away. DIXIE SURPRISE settled off the early pace, edged closer late on the far turn, hustled along three wide into the lane, responded and finished second best. R N B BABY angled in to save ground shortly after the start, was unhurried and raced in the back, swung five wide into the lane and gained a share. LILLABET set the pace, took on challengers near the quarter pole, got collared at the head of the lane and flattened out. LADY CAPTAIN was forwardly placed sitting just off the early leader, moved up to challenge at the quarter pole, could not sustain bid past the head of the lane and gave way. KANSAS SMOKE raced off the pace, swung four wide into the lane and never threatened. MAXIMUM TO EXCEL raced near midpack, had no response when called upon around the far turn and steadily retreated. BOTITA raced in early contention, came up empty leaving the backstretch and dropped back.
