Chart notes
THUNDERING HEART prompted SCOVILLE UNIT racing two-wide, gained a slight lead at the eighth pole and gradually edged clear late. SCOVILLE UNIT saved ground setting the pace, responded when headed by THUNDERING HEART at the eighth pole and held on gamely to the wire. FORT BULL saved ground while being unhurried, angled out nearing the eighth pole and was gaining slightly late. C C'S CLEAR CREEK was allowed to settle, came three-wide into the stretch and lacked a rally.
