Chart notes
PORT ELLEN (IRE) settled mid pack, swung out four wide while rallying at the eighth pole then continued to close stoutly and was up in time. SPANISH CHANNEL tracked the pace, swung out three wide to the stretch then rallied in the drive, caught CLUBHOUSE DRAMA but was nailed by the winner in the last stride. CLUBHOUSE DRAMA hopped at the start and lost about three lengths, hustled up to engage for the lead, inched away after a half, responded through a long drive and could not hold late. ENCHANTING WAY had good speed, dueled inside for five furlongs then tired. MONARCA DE ORO tracked the leaders two wide for five furlongs then weakened. STRAKER had no speed and was not a factor. BETHEL RIDGE reared in the gate and lost about five lengths to start then did not recover.
