Chart notes
ROMAN EMPRESS chased from inside then moved off the rail early, pursued in the three path on the turn, surged clear past the three-sixteenths pole and held safely while drifting to the middle of the track. NOKIE tracked off the rail, went two to three wide on the turn, finished well to gain second but could not reach the winner. EBOK'S DREAM GIRL chased four then three wide, tipped five wide into the lane and lacked a bid. HONORABLE GAL dueled from inside to the turn, could not kick on with outer rival at the five-sixteenths pole, followed in range to midstretch and flattened. ELEGANT SWAY chased five wide into the turn, moved to the four path, tipped six wide leaving the bend, drifted inward in the lane, altered out a bit in deep stretch and was never a factor. CHARMED DREAM stumbled leaving the gate but still came away on top, dueled outside HONORABLE GAL, cleared late on the turn, yielded to the winner past the three-sixteenths pole and weakened.
