Chart notes

JUST MAGNIFICENT broke inwards on the start, was allowed to settle into stride well of the fence co-trailing inside another down the back straight, was scrubbed on at the three eighths pole starting to uncork a rally, made a big swooping move four wide around horses at the quarter pole, swung out widest gathering even more momentum having a full of head of steam in upper stretch eight wide outside runners, powered past under left handed encouragement at the sixteenth pole and won clearing off sharply when crossing the finish line. LADY IONA travelled in the middle of the field outside another rival down the backside, narrowed the margin two wide around the bend at the quarter marker, shifted out to the five path in with a chance by mid-stretch between horses and finished up strongly besting the rest for the runners up share but was no match for the winner in the final sixteenth of a mile. SPELLCHECK darted between horses down the backstretch splitting the co-leaders to have sole command loose up top by the half, rambled on quickening the pace midway through the turn, angled to the two path in the stretch drive barely holding onto the front end with outside rivals bearing down at the furlong pole, could not fend off the top two rivals in the late going fading slightly and just saved for the show money inside in a tight photo at the wire. LORRAINE'S BEAUTY was brushed on the outside on the break, travelled on the rail in mid-pack along the backside, edged up around the bend closing the gap on the fence by the quarter pole, was in the mix two wide at the top of the stretch, did not switch leads until the late running but we he did found another gear very late and surged at the wire just missing getting up on the outside for the third place share. LADY RAINICORN shared the rear on the outside of the eventual winner in the early going, lagged behind seeing the field on the turn at the quarter pole, started to come with a good late rail rally in the final furlong inside of runner but had to be checked in tight in deep stretch losing all of its run. SANS DANCER broke inwards on the start, had a narrow advantage on the inside leaving the chute, let the new leader go on with it content to track inside another at the half mile pole, chased the pacesetter throughout the oval, shifted to the three path in the hunt with runners on either side at the head of the lane but needed more late when wilting in the final sixteenth. DEFINITE DIVA was bumped on the outside at the break, recovered to press the issue outside in the beginning, tracked the frontrunner in tandem with an inside foe by the half, travelled three to four wide just holding position between rivals though the turn, shifted to the seven path but was faltering between foes turning for home and as not persevered with in the final furlong.
