Chart notes
SHIP SHIP HOORAY was brushed by an inner foe at the start, vied three wide early on, led narrowly two wide around the turn, got collared by an outer bidder at the furlong grounds yet dug in gamely to cling to an advantage to the wire. FORTY LOVE laid off of the pace in the four path, progressed outside of rivals around the turn, sustained his rally to bid at the furlong grounds, dueled neck and neck with an inner rival through the final furlong but hung late and missed at the wire. MITTY'S GRIDDY lunged slightly and brushed an outer rival at the start, vied two wide and between horses, backed off to stalk those rivals from the three path around the turn, ranged up along with an outer rival to issue a rebid between horses in upper stretch, but got outkicked coming to the final furlong and kept on to chase the top pair home. GALLO DE FUEGO chased along the inside, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch but lacked a bid. GUARDIAN vied for the lead inside of a pair of foes through the opening quarter mile, then only with the eventual winner into the turn, failed to maintain level terms with five sixteenths to go then faded through the lane.
